Auto-ClassifiedsPro Admin
The Auto-ClassifiedsPro module allows you to offer a classified ads directory to which members of your site can post ads.
Category Wizard - Independent Main Categories
Each main (top level) category in Auto-ClassifiedsPro can be independently configured, with its own submission form, templates and layouts. A 'wizard' in the admin walks you through the process of creating a main category step by step.
Category Wizard - Subcategories
You can create as many subcategories to a parent category as you like - they will all inherit the attributes you assign to the main category. You can select certain subcategories to appear as 'teasers' on the front page.
Category Wizard - Configuring the Submission Form
When posting ads, users will use a submission form. Each main category has its own form, which can use whatever fields you assign to it. You can create your own fields in advance and then add them to the form(s).
Category Wizard - Setting the Sort Order
You can choose to sort the content pages listed in a category by any field that appears in the submission form.
Category Wizard - Subcategory Layout
The administrator designs the layout of how subcategory names appear in a page. Square bracket tags are replaced by the appropriate data when printed.
Category Wizard - Designing Listing Layouts 1
Ads will be listed in two different situations (in a category or in search results). You can control how ads appear when listed in both circumstance using easy to configure layouts. These listings are what users click to view a full ad page.
Category Wizard - Designing Listing Layouts 2
At the top of the layouts page you will see a list of all square bracket tags available - there will be a replacement tag for each field that appears in a category's submission form so that you can insert any data you want and in whatever manner you like.
Category Wizard - All Text is Configurable
Each main category will have certain text messages that appear in different circumstances. These will be pre-filled with defaults that you can leave as is, or change if you like.
Category Wizard - The Ad Template 1
The last step of the wizard is the ad template - this is what controls how the information you enter into the submission form is then displayed in a classified ad. A default template will always be filled into the form, which you can then edit. You are able to make changes later, and we recommend simply saving the default template rather than editing it right away.
Category Wizard - The Ad Template 2
Above the form where you can edit the HTML of the ad template you will see a list of plugins - there will be one plugin for each field you have in your submission form for the category. You can use these to display the corresponding data.
Looking Up Ads
The administrator can look up ads in the admin for easy access - searching by username, ad headline, or other means. If you have the software configured to require admin approval before ads are listed publicly then you can look up only ads waiting approval as well.
Creating New Fields
You can create as many fields you like and then assign them to the submission forms of your categories.
Available Field Types
There are a variety of field types available, including: drop-down menus, text areas, checkboxes, radio buttons, and more.
